For Wonder in the Wilderness | Poetry Book

It is in the wilderness sunken and tired from heat that wraps its arms around my worn frame, I see the beauty of the process. Between layers of self-sufficiency disguised as enough, I am burdened with the task of unraveling all I've ever known so that I may know truth. Beneath sun and cloud and blue. I am grain upon grain of dust forming with wind a frame of frailty. When the rain comes I know I will be ready. This brittle body of mine will begin to solidify and where wounds wound the extremities of my being, I will be wholeness, mass of weight, of clay, ready for the wedging, for the pressing. *This post contains affiliate links.daniela-0uQ4Z6V7pe4-unsplash

Wonder in Working

I wrote on my last blog how I'd been busier than usual and the time for blogging seemed lacking in the midst of all of the other creative projects I have had on my plate. In all the working, there is one consistent project I started that is probably one of the most exciting things I will do this year. Many of you who've followed this blog for any period of time know that I'm a poet. Poetry is my first love when it comes to the art of writing. So, in the last 8 months to a year, I have begun the drafting and selecting of various poems I've written over the years to add them to my first ever selection of poems! It has been an exciting and challenging process, but as time approaches for publication, I wanted to share with you guys that my first poetry book is coming before the end of 2019!For Wonder in the Wildnerness is the title. It represents moments of brokenness, of pain, of love, and of all the things we find ourselves facing in life. It's my baby, my heart, and pieces of me that I want to share with you dear readers. So, be on the lookout for more information! If you want a sneak peek of some of the poems, check out my Instagram page @penofthebeloved or click on the poetry link on the home page!I love you, readers!

Stay creative, lovelies!

Sincerely,
