What is 25 Days of Creativity?
25 Days of Creativity is a creative challenge I started in December 2018. I found myself highly unmotivated to create among a myriad of emotions. Words wouldn’t come and any other creative outlet I tried seemed stifled. I was frustrated at what I felt I could not create.
So, that year I began a conversation with myself and with God. I knew my creative blocks were more mental and emotional, and to motivate myself and place myself in higher spirits for the Christmas season, I challenged myself to create for 25 days consistently leading up to Christmas day. Each day was filled with me pushing myself out of my comfort zone of frustrated complacency. I shared my experience and emotions each day on Instagram and my blog using the hashtag #25daysofcreativity.
What began as a creative challenge for myself has now turned into a journey of encouraging other creators to do the same. This year I want to invite you, dear creative to join on this journey with me!
Pursuing Wonder This Year
This year’s theme is The Pursuit of Wonder. With this creative journey for 25 days, the desire is to pursue wonder in how we go about our daily lives. As business owners, parents, students, and just humans in general; how we begin to move throughout life can become almost a shallow version of the full selves we were created by God to be.
If you’re new to my nook of the internet or you’re familiar with Pen of the Beloved, I share consistently how every single person on the earth has a measure of creativity. The longevity and beauty of it depends on how we cultivate this gift each day.
